Your starting point

Is this
you?

Not everyone comes to the gym for the same reason.

And not everyone needs the same training.

Maybe you've thought
A woman getting back into training on a gym treadmill
A man in his forties training at the gym
A young woman ready to train at the gym
A man over sixty training on a gym machine
Maybe it's happened to you

There's no single way to get here.

Some want to start again, some want consistency, and some want to understand how to train with more awareness.

  1. 01

“Every time I try to start again, I go in hard and give up soon after.”

  2. 02

“I'd like to train, but I honestly don't know where to begin.”

  3. 03

“At the gym they hand me a programme, and then I'm basically on my own.”

  4. 04

“I have a health condition, pain or a physical limitation, but I don't want it to stop me from training.”

  1. 05

“I never know how hard to push: if I do too much I feel bad; if I do too little I don't seem to get anywhere.”

  2. 06

“As I get older I want to stay strong, mobile and independent, not just accept losing ability.”

  3. 07

“I'm out of shape and want to start again, but I don't want to feel out of place in a gym.”

  4. 08

“I already play sport and train seriously, but I want to stop swinging between pushing to the max and being sidelined by injury.”

  1. 09

“I'd like someone to really understand where I'm starting from, instead of giving me the same programme as everyone else.”

  2. 10

“I've tried different classes and workouts, but never found anything that truly fitted me.”

  3. 11

“I want to train to feel good now, but also to keep moving well in ten, twenty or thirty years.”

  4. 12

“I'm not looking for someone who just makes me sweat. I want someone who knows why I'm doing what I'm doing.”

If you recognised yourself

You're probably in the right place.

At Phil Lab we don't start from a standard programme for you to follow.

We start from you.

From what you do today, your abilities, your history, your health and what you want to achieve.

Then we build the work.

That might mean rediscovering the pleasure of moving, building strength and independence, using exercise as an active part of managing a health condition, or working on performance without sacrificing consistency.

The principle never changes

The programme adapts to the person, not the person to the programme.

We work with qualified professionals, person-centred programmes and an evidence-based method — and everything we do is also available in English.

Because not everyone should do the same training.

They should do the training that suits them best.

The first step

Tell us where you're starting from.

You don't need to choose a programme right away. We start by getting to know you, then find the right path together.
